Welcome to our site.
Russkaya Cappella - the choir that sings Russian music - is the only Russian choir in Scotland and one of a very few choirs in Britain specialising in Russian choral music. We are a small amateur mixed voice choir in Glasgow, founded in 2009, growing in numbers and engagements, performing both Russian choral church music and traditional Russian folk songs.
The choir is looking for more singers, particularly tenors. No ability to speak Russian is required, as all the text we sing is transliterated and coaching in Russian pronunciation is provided during rehearsals. We rehearse on Thursday from 7.15 to 9.30pm in Unitarian Centre, 72 Berkeley Street, Glasgow. If you are interested in joining the choir, please contact us.
Russkaya Cappella is a registered Scottish charity (SC041150).
